Since April 3, 2019, a new pricing agreement has governed the coverage of these devices. It establishes three categories of hair prostheses, each corresponding to a specific reimbursement level based on the product's characteristics. This classification allows for a better adaptation of the available options to individual needs and budgets.

Furthermore, renewal is permitted every 12 months from the date of purchase, whether it concerns a wig or covered textile accessories such as scarves or caps. This allows beneficiaries to regularly replace their equipment, depending on wear and tear or changes in their needs.
