The wig comfort index

When we talk about rating, stars, comfort, frame and wig quality, what exactly does it mean?

When we talk about comfort index, stars, frame or quality for wigs, it refers to the elements influencing the comfort and adaptability of the model.

Frame : This is the base of the wig, in direct contact with the head, made with different materials that affect comfort.

Comfort Rating (Stars) : Comfort is rated from 1 to 6 stars. The more stars a wig has, the lighter and more comfortable it is, ideal for everyday use, such as medical wigs. This also impacts the price.

Whatever your budget, our range at Rose comme femme offers top quality models, guaranteeing a natural and discreet result.

Deluxe Comfort ✭✭✭✭✭✭

100% HANDMADE + MONO-FILAMENT

This comfort index 6/6, corresponding to “100% handmade + monofilament”, guarantees maximum comfort and discretion. Each hair is implanted by hand: on the top, 1 to 4 hairs are individually knotted on a micro-skin (monofilament), while the back is more spaced, with groups of 2 to 3 hairs implanted on a fine tulle.

This frame is extremely light, flexible and soft, giving the impression that the hair grows directly from the scalp for a completely invisible effect. This high-end finish, ideal for medical wigs, is particularly suitable for people with total hair loss or looking for an ultra-comfortable, thin and undetectable model.

100% HANDMADE

This comfort level, index 5/6, means "100% handmade". The frame, in fine tulle, is light and gives the illusion of natural hair, each strand being individually knotted. Although the knots are a little more spaced than on a monofilament, this high-end finish is supple, soft and discreet, offering exceptional comfort. It is ideal for medical models, specially designed for those with total hair loss and looking for an ultra-comfortable and undetectable model for daily wear.

Mono comfort ✭✭✭✭

MONO-FILAMENT + BRAID

This comfort level corresponds to index 4/6, or the “Mono-filament + Braid” category. On the entire upper part and along the front edge, the hair is implanted by hand, between 1 and 4 hairs per implant, on a micro-skin also called mono-filament. This technique creates an extremely natural effect, giving the impression that the hair grows directly from the scalp, making the wig virtually undetectable.

At the back of the cap, the structure uses a "Braid" assembly, in which the hair is mechanically implanted on elastic bands, which are then braided by hand to give the shape of the wig. This assembly ensures excellent support and promotes ventilation.

MONO-FILAMENT PART RAY + BRAID

This comfort level is classified as index 3/6, designated as “Braid with a monofilament section at the parting”.

This involves the hair being mechanically implanted onto elastic strips, which are then assembled by hand to shape the wig. A section of micro-skin, also known as monofilament, is integrated into the parting or frontal border.

This micro-skin insertion simulates the appearance of the scalp, providing a very natural result. It also facilitates the creation of a well-defined parting and allows for styling at the back that remains invisible. You will therefore be able to wear your wig with total discretion and confidence.

MONO-FILAMENT EPI + BRAID PART

This level of comfort is classified at index 2/6, designating a comfort “Braid with a monofilament zone at the level of the spike”.

This means that the hair is first mechanically implanted onto elastic bands, which are then assembled by hand to shape the wig. A section of micro-skin, also known as monofilament, is integrated into the epidural area, i.e. at the top of the head or along the parting.

The incorporation of this micro-skin part creates a transparency effect that imitates the scalp, thus offering a very natural result. It also allows you to define a well-marked parting and to create a styling at the back that remains invisible. Thanks to these characteristics, you will be able to wear your wig discreetly.

MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY

This comfort level is classified at index 1/6, corresponding to the “Braid” category.

This involves the wig hair being mechanically implanted onto elastic strips. These strips, which form the base of the wig, are carefully assembled by hand to create the desired shape. This artisanal assembly process allows the wig design to be customized while ensuring a good fit on the head.

A key feature of this construction is the airy space between each strip, which promotes excellent ventilation. This air circulation is crucial, especially on hot days or during long periods of wear, as it helps prevent the feeling of heat and discomfort.

In addition, the elasticity of the strips ensures optimal support of the wig. This flexibility allows the wig to easily adapt to the shape of the head, thus guaranteeing a stable hold throughout the day. You will be able to go about your activities with confidence, without fear of the wig slipping or moving.

All in all, this "Braid" comfort is an ideal option for those looking for a lightweight, well-ventilated wig, while still benefiting from a secure fit and ease of maintenance.
