People who have lost their hair due to illness or its treatment, such as chemotherapy, may be eligible for full coverage when purchasing wigs or accessories designed to conceal total hair loss (known as alopecia). Since April 3, 2019, a new pricing agreement divides hair prostheses into three distinct categories, each qualifying for specific coverage. Coverage for hair prostheses or textile accessories can be renewed every 12 months from the date of purchase.
