Collection: MEDICAL WIGS

Chemo wig, wig after cancer or for alopecia: our medical wigs (hair prostheses) are lightweight, breathable, and designed for sensitive scalps. Rose comme femme is Social Security approved and will assist you with your reimbursement claims.

To prepare for your purchase, consult our Social Security reimbursement page, our guide on 5 mistakes to avoid when buying a wig, and the comfort index for our models. To protect your scalp, also explore our caps, turbans, and scarves.

Is my chemo wig reimbursed?

Yes, with a prescription. As of 2026, a Class 1 wig (synthetic, price limit €350) is 100% reimbursed. A Class 2 wig (price limit €700) is covered by Social Security and your supplemental insurance under the "100% Santé" scheme. Full details are available on our Social Security reimbursement page.

When should I choose my wig?

Ideally before hair loss begins, so you can match your color and cut and get used to wearing it. Also, read our guide on how to manage your first time wearing a wig.

How do I choose the size and comfort level?

Most women wear a standard size (55-57 cm). Small sizes and large sizes are also available. For a sensitive scalp, we recommend a monofilament or hand-stitched cap: see our comfort index.

Can I try it on?

You have 14 days to try your wig at home: if it doesn't suit you, it can be exchanged or refunded. Call us at 09 60 47 79 02 (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 12 pm) or contact us via our live chat, available 7 days a week.

Social Security Reimbursement - CPAM

People who have lost their hair due to illness or its treatment, such as chemotherapy, may be eligible for full coverage when purchasing wigs or accessories designed to conceal total hair loss (known as alopecia). Since April 3, 2019, a new pricing agreement divides hair prostheses into three distinct categories, each qualifying for specific coverage. Coverage for hair prostheses or textile accessories can be renewed every 12 months from the date of purchase.
